The Executive Chairman of Oshodi-Isolo Local Government, Otunba Kehinde Almaroof Oloyede has mourned the passing of Alhaji Abdul Ganiyu Olamilekan Ishola.

Alhaji Ishola died yesterday at the age of 97.

The late Alhaji Ishola, until his death was an active community leader, Otun Baba Adini of Mafoluku Central Mosque and a father figure to the vast majority of people in the community.

His native intelligence and problem solving skills has led to the peaceful resolution of many community disputes. He was also a religious frontier that lived a commendable life.

The Executive Chairman who described as a huge loss, the death of the community leader said he was pained by his irreplaceable exit.

Oloyede prayed Almighty Allah grant the soul of Alhaji Ishola aljana firduos.

He said: “I received the news of the demise of Alhaji Abdul Ganiyu Olamilekan Ishola with heavy heart. Baba was a great man who lived his life to serve Allah and the community, he was a pillar of peace in the community.

“His wealth of experience and calm demeanour will be greatly missed. I pray Allah grants him aljana firduos and his family the fortitude to bear the loss.”
