…as 80-bed facility in Ojota sets to improve healthcare services in the local government
The Executive Chairman of Kosofe Local Government, Barr Moyosore Adedoyin Ogunlewe welcomed Professor Akin Abayomi, Lagos State Health Commissioner, to inspect the completed 80-bed ultramodern Primary Health Centre (PHC) on Emmanuel High Street, Ojota, on Tuesday.
The facility, a federal government Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) project for the Kosofe federal constituency, represents a significant advancement in local healthcare infrastructure.
During the visit, the local government chairman and Prof Abayomi engaged in productive discussions regarding the optimal utilisation of the new health centre. Both parties reached an agreement on strategies to ensure the facility’s efficient operation and integration into the existing healthcare framework.
The state-of-the-art PHC is expected to commence operations in the near future, marking a substantial improvement in health management and medical care provision within Kosofe Local Government. This development aligns with broader efforts to enhance healthcare accessibility and quality across Kosofe LGA and Lagos State generally.
Local residents are anticipated to benefit greatly from the advanced medical services and increased capacity offered by this modern facility. The launch of the PHC is poised to address various healthcare needs, potentially reducing the strain on larger hospitals and improving overall community health outcomes.
As preparations for the facility’s opening continue, local authorities and healthcare professionals are working diligently to ensure a smooth transition and maximum impact on the well-being of Kosofe residents.
