The Mayor of Isolo, Olasoju Adebayo has sent his warm greetings to Muslims of the council area and beyond as they mark the birth of the noblest of mankind, Prophet Muhammed (S.A.W.) today.
In a release from his media office shortly after daybreak, Olasoju conveyed his felicitations to the adherents of the Islamic faith urging them to not only claim knowledge of Prophet Muhammed and/or his teachings but make them bear on their day-to-day life.
Excerpts: “This day; marking the birth of Prophet Muhammad brings to mind the life led by the man born into a humble background and transited about 14 centuries ago but whose sterling qualities still stand out among mankind till present date.
“The foregoing makes it imperative to remind ourselves of those attributes that make Prophet Muhammed a reference point till this moment; heed his teachings, emulate his ways and ultimately seek to impact humanity positively so that history may be kind to us too”.
Delving into the more applicable sayings of the Holy Prophet as the nation today grapples with insufficiency, the council boss highlighted patriotism as key to the desired national recovery.
“Prophet’s saying to the Ummah during his time thus: ‘O people! Spread peace and security among you and do not create strife’ is instructive and applicable to us as Nigerians regardless of faith. Our love for this dear nation of ours should bear always by way of actions and words depicting patriotism, justice, fairness, responsibility, and nationalism. I hope that we will celebrate this day within the ambiance of morality and use its auspiciousness to pray for our leaders and country.
May the peace and blessing of Allah (S.W.T.) be upon Prophet Muhammed, his households, his companions, and the entire Ummah till the day of reckoning.
