In a groundbreaking event, the executive chairman of Oshodi-Isolo local government, Otunba Kehinde Almaroof Oloyede has commissioned Alade Street, Oshodi on Sunday.
Oloyede while commissioning the street promised more infrastructural development projects for the people of the council.
Alade Street hitherto its rehabilitation was in a deplorable state and suffered years of neglect. In bringing the street to limelight, the council chairman reconstructed the drainage system on the street followed by interlocking pavement with a solar powered street light.
The council boss crowned the street rehabilitation with a presentation of pipe borne water which was also commissioned on Sunday to the admiration of all residents.
In his address on the occasion, Oloyede while thanking the residents for organising themselves for the street commissioning, assured them that in no distance time, he will commence the rehabilitation of Banjoko Primary Health Care Centre on Ogunlana street, Oshodi.
He said, the hospital when completed will be able to attend to both primary and secondary health care within the council.
The vice chairman, Mrs Modupeola Badmus-Aregbe who cut the tape to commission the water project thanked the council chairman for people oriented projects he is doing, promising to continue her support for the council chairman.
A party chieftain and leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oshodi, Alhaji Kehinde Olorunoje commended the council chairman as he unveiled the plaque to commission the street.
This was followed with applause and ovation by the enthusiastic residents who poured encomiums on the council chairman for the uplift giving to the street.
