According to the Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Ibrahim Abdullahi, Wike’s comments about “putting fire in their states” in reference to PDP governors were disappointing and not expected from a party member.
Wike, a longstanding member of the PDP and the only opposition member in President Bola Tinubu’s cabinet, had expressed his contentment with serving under Tinubu despite criticisms and speculations surrounding his appointment.
