…visits nine CDAs in Ojota to assess local needs and develop solutions

On Tuesday, Barr Moyosore Adedoyin Ogunlewe, Executive Chairman of Kosofe Local Government led a high-level delegation on an extensive community engagement tour across Ojota. The chairman, accompanied by key government officials, visited nine Community Development Associations (CDAs) to gain firsthand insights into local issues and needs.

The delegation included Hon Fatai Gbadebo, Secretary to the local government; Hon Lekan Baruwa, Councillor representing Ọjọta Ward; Hon Segun Babatunde, CDC Chairman; Mr Akin Abiona, Chief of Staff to the Executive Chairman; and Mr Alufohai Omokhudu, Special Adviser on Special Duties.

The tour covered Higher Emmanuel, Olatunji, Gidankwali, Amoree, Kogberegbe, Idi-Aba, Jumat Olukoya, Ojota, and Gbadebo CDAs. During these visits, Ogunlewe and his team engaged directly with community leaders and residents to discuss ongoing challenges and potential improvements.

The chairman emphasized his commitment to developing tailored short-term and long-term solutions for each community. This grassroots approach aims to ensure that local government initiatives align closely with the specific needs of Ojota’s diverse neighbourhood.

Residents expressed appreciation for the chairman’s hands-on approach and the presence of key officials, viewing it as a positive step towards more responsive and collaborative local governance.
