Abia Warriors Football Club of Umuahia will look to get back to winning ways after consecutive narrow losses to Nasarawa United and Wikki Tourists in this weekend’s Nigeria Premier Football League fixture.

Despite playing well in the away games, Umu Chineke were undone by technical errors, according to the gaffer, Imama Amapakabo. However, he expressed optimism about the team’s ability to bounce back.

Katsina United, meanwhile, is basking in confidence, having secured an impressive away win over Plateau United in Jos and a narrow victory over former Nigerian champions, Kano Pillars, in Katsina, to set the tone for an explosive encounter at the Umuahia Township Stadium on Sunday.

The Warriors will bank on their defensive solidity at home to keep the Changi Boys at bay, and hope that their new attacking force will click this time around.

Umu Chineke are currently occupying the 14th position with three points on the league table, while Katsina United are in 5th position with six points after three games played.
