Hon. Sanni Ganiyu Babatunde Okanlawon, Member representing Kosofe Constituency 01 at the Lagos State House of Assembly, has congratulated Muslims in Lagos State, Nigeria, and across the world on the celebration of Eid-el-Maulud, marking the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him).
In his goodwill message, Hon. Okanlawon described the Prophet as a timeless model of peace, compassion, humility, and justice, urging Muslims to reflect these virtues in their daily lives. He called on the faithful to use the occasion to pray for Nigeria’s peace, unity, and development, stressing that tolerance and mutual respect remain vital for national progress.
“Our country is blessed with rich diversity, and it must be nurtured as a source of strength, not division. The Prophet’s life teaches us that peace is not only a gift but also a responsibility,” he said.
Concluding, Hon. Okanlawon extended his wishes on behalf of his family and the people of Kosofe, praying that Allah grant Nigeria peace, guide its leaders, and bless the nation with unity and prosperity.
