The lawmaker representing Ikeja Constituency 1 in the Lagos State House of Assembly and Chairman of the House Committee on Science and Technology, Hon. Prince Seyi Lawal, marked his birthday in a remarkable way by empowering a local youth with a sewing machine.

The birthday celebration, held within his constituency, was not only a moment of personal joy for the legislator but also an opportunity to give back to the community.
While speaking during the event, Hon. Lawal expressed gratitude to God for the gift of life and the opportunity to serve his people.
“I give all glory to God for keeping me alive till today. I am very, very happy because I was warmly celebrated at home this morning. That joy inspired me to surprise a young man who is a tailor but didn’t have a sewing machine to do his work,” he said.
The lawmaker used the occasion to advise youths in the constituency to remain focused and dedicated to their goals, assuring them that their time for success would come.
“I want to encourage our younger ones to stay focused and know what they are doing. Very soon, it will be their turn,” he added.
The beneficiaries of the empowerment, Mr. Olasunkanmi Aunolupo, could not hide his excitement and appreciation.
”I really appreciate Hon. Seyi Lawal for giving me this sewing machine today. I did not expect it. May God continue to bless and honour him. He will go higher and higher in Jesus’ name,” he said.
Also present at the event was the lawmaker representing Alimosho Constituency 1, Hon. Lukman Orelope, who congratulated Hon. Lawal on his birthday. He offered prayers for his colleague, wishing him more fruitful years ahead in good health and prosperity.
“I celebrate my brother Hon. Seyi Lawal today and pray that God will bless him and grant him many more years in good health,” Hon. Orelope said.
The event was a blend of celebration and community impact, reflecting Hon. Lawal’s commitment to youth empowerment and grassroots development.
