The new Chairman of Ikoyi-Obalende LCDA Honourable Bola Oladunjoye has charged his councillors across the five wards in the axis to allow their decisions to be guided by wisdom, fairness and genuine desire to improve the lives of those they serve.
Newsconnect reports that Bola made this assertion in his goodwill message at the swearing ceremony organized for councillors representing Ward A, B, C, D, and E in Ikoyi Obalende LCDA.
In his words, he said;
“Dear political colleagues, Your decision to step forward and offer your service to Ikoyi-Obalende is commendable.
“Your commitment to the betterment of our community is evident in your willingness to take on this challenge, and we are confident that you will serve with integrity, dedication, and a deep sense of responsibility.
“We recongise that the path ahead will not always be easy because Local Government faces numerous challenges, from infrastructural development and resources management to social welfare and community engagement.
“However, with your leadership and the collective efforts of all Council Members, we believe we can overcome these obstacles and create a more prosperous and Vibrant Ikoyi -Obalende for all.
“This swearing-in ceremony is more than just a formality, it is a reaffirmation of our shared commitment to Public Service and the democratic process, it is a reminder that we are all stakeholders in the future of our community and that our collective success depends on our ability to work together, to listen to one another and the strive for the common goals .
“Honorable Councillors as you embark on this journey, remember the trust reposed in you by the residents of Ikoyi-Obalende LCDA, let your decision be guided by wisdom, fairness and a genuine desire to improve the lives of those you serve.

The newly sworn in Councilor from Ward E in Ikoyi Obalende Fatimah Yusuf Salami on behalf of her colleagues told journalists at the event that the people of Ikoyi-Obalende should know that good era is coming in, “we are here to work and they will see the difference”. She said.
Honourable Oladimeji Kehinde is the Councilor representing Ward A, Honourable Kunle Oyekan is the councilor representing ward B, Honourable Tijani Rotimi Owolabi is the councilor representing Ward C, Honourable Ekundayo Opeyemi is the councilor representing ward D, while Honourable Fatimah Adejoke Yusuf Salami is the councilor representing Ward E in Ikoyi-Obalende.
