Honourable Sanni Ganiyu Babatunde Okanlawon, Chairman of the Lagos State House of Assembly Committee on Local Government Administration, Chieftaincy Affairs & Rural Development, and representative of Kosofe Constituency 01, has congratulated Barrister Moyosore Adedoyin Ogunlewe (Kosofe LG), Princess Samiat Abolanle Bada (Ikosi-Isheri LCDA), Hon. (Mrs.) Adetola Adunni Abubakar (Agboyi-Ketu LCDA), and all elected and re-elected Councillors across Larger Kosofe on their victories at the Saturday’s Local Government Elections.
Describing the sweeping victories as a firm reaffirmation of the people’s trust in the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Okanlawon noted that the outcome of the polls represents a strong mandate for continuity, tested leadership, and grassroots-focused governance.
“This landslide victory is not just a celebration of electoral success; it is a powerful validation of the APC’s people-oriented policies, responsive leadership, and unwavering dedication to the welfare of our constituents,” Okanlawon stated.
He further commended the good people of Kosofe and Lagos at large for their peaceful participation in the election process, highlighting the exercise as a model of political maturity and civic responsibility.
“The peaceful, transparent, and orderly conduct of this election speaks volumes about the strength of our democracy and the readiness of our people to embrace stability, unity, and sustainable development,” he said.
Hon. Okanlawon reaffirmed his commitment to working collaboratively with all newly elected officials to deepen democratic gains and accelerate the delivery of impactful governance. He pledged to continue advancing legislative initiatives that will support local development, empower communities, and uphold the mandate given by the people.
