The Deputy Governor of Lagos State Dr Obafemi Hamzat has encouraged supporters and members of APC in Lagos-East Senatorial District not to get swayed by ill critics when canvassing for votes ahead the council election come July 12, 2025 but rather, Lagos State is doing well.

Newsconnect reports that Hamzat said this yesterday 28th, June 2025 at Government College in Ikorodu, the venue that housed the supporters, candidates, and leaders of APC in Lagos-East to prepare for the forthcoming election.

“Don’t let people be telling you negatives, the state government is doing well, locally government is doing well. In Africa, there is no state that has rail but we have in Lagos”. He said

The Lagos State Chairman of All Progressive Congress (APC) Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi in his remark at the campaign in Ikorodu said;

“Please listen to the leadership. Work with our candidate, work with the party. We know what is expected of us to run an all inclusive administration.

“If you want to get anything from this particular process, this is the time for all of us to come together and work assiduously.

“As you are working for the success of the party, the leadership of the party is recognizing you and am sure you will be adequately rewarded.

“If we work together as one big party am pretty sure, there is no political party in Lagos State that can beat you. What is ahead of us is beyond local government election. We have been running the affairs since 1999.

“The voters are waiting for us, the door is there, we should knock and assure them of getting dividend of democracy if they vote for APC”. He said

Senator Mikhail Tokunbo Abiru at the event said this is the gathering and celebration of the strength of Lagos-East APC.

“I stand here today to reaffirm my unwavering support for our candidates. What we see today is a stable, predictable government. As we prepare for election, we must take note of the roles we play as another step for consolidating ourselves for the 2027 election”.
