“Every election is local, don’t take it for granted, go and work. It is not a vote that we must go to sleep for, we must wait to cast our votes, we must wait to count our votes, we must wait to protect our votes, we must wait for them to announce our votes.
“Four years is sufficient for chairman to perform. There are so many examples, we have seen some Chairmen who spent just 4 years and we saw what they all did.

“Governor, Deputy Governor and Speaker have witnessed the commissioning of some Chairmen because they have different landmark projects that are individually embarking on. We don’t have excuse for underperforming.
“You have everything working for you. You have the support of the leadership of the party. You are responsible to your people to ensure that the dividend of democracy gets to them.
“At this level, it is a call to service. You and your vice chair is a joint ticket. There should not be any acrimony , there should not be any division. Vice Chairman should always know that their Chairman is their chairman. That is the number one person in the local government.
“The chairman will give you your deserving respect and recognition. And to the councilors you have a constitutional responsibility, encourage them to discharge their own responsibilities and you would see that your local government, LCDA will continue to fluorish , and continue to do well”.
Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi said the party flagbearer across the 57 LGA/LCDAs should Interface with the major stakeholders along with their candidates.
“Let us work together as one big family. This is the time for us to buckle up, so that the benefit of fuel subsidy will trickle down to the grassroots. Let us choose a way to partner in solving the food insecurity in our country”. He said
The Deputy Speaker Rt Hon. Lasbat Meranda said:
“Let’s come and work for the victory of the party let us put our grudges behind, try and reach out to other aspirants, let’s do reconciliation, and come out to work for the party.

That the flagbearers should serve diligently and write their names in the book of history.
