The Lawmaker representing Ikorodu Constituency 2, Honourable Aro Moshood Abiodun fondly called (AMA) had posited at the 9th stakeholders meeting among other things that he will roll out plenty achievements that is more than what he rolled out now.

Newsconnect reports that since it is impossible for the lawmaker to be at different places within his jurisdiction at the same time, the stakeholders meeting is an avenue where people can present there pressing issues to the lawmaker.

In an interview with journalists at the event, he said;

“The youth we have in Ikorodu Constituency 2 are ready to work. What they only need is enabling environment for them to strive in doing their business.

“What do we need, the road, light and employment. I read it out in my speech that I will make sure that 50 of the youths gained employment through my lobby in different MDAs. I have couples of list on my table that I am still lobbying, I must also make sure they get job.

“That is only what I can give them that they can give to their family and their children, I will also make sure I do more in that aspect.

” I am very confident that in the next stakeholders meeting, we will roll out plenty achievement that is more than what I roll out now. I want to assure you by his grace, what constituents have pointed out today, some of them will be achieved.

“What these stakeholders are giving us is also propelling us into the next year budget. Now I know what my people want, I know what am going back the house to fight for. That is exactly the real reason of this stakeholders meeting.

“Once you listen to them, you really know what they really need. As their representative I can’t know it all. I can’t be in Oreta, I can’t be in Ofin, I can’t be in Imota, I can’t be in Ijede one time. All the people there have now told me what they also want me to tell Mr Governor, Mr Speaker and the 39 other members for Ikorodu Constituency 2”. He said

While sensitizing participants in line with the stakeholders meeting Theme which was dubbed ‘Ensuring Food Security for Sustainable Future’, the deputy director Lagos State Ministry of Agricultural and Food System Mrs Soluade Adejoke said land acquisition for farming is no longer a priority for potential farnera, she said you can be a farmer from the comfort of your home.

In an interview with journalists after her presentation said;

“You can convert plastic to planting land. Get it and place it at strategic places in your home, get your viable sand that will promote fast germination. If you get your fertile soil, from there, you start something. You will be amazed from what you will reap from the harvest.

“We are promoting urban farming from our ministry now. Irrespective of your residents, you can be a farmer. Getting a land for farming should not be a priority, You can use sack.

“Our bottle water can be our source of farmland. Get your humous soil, fertile soil get it inside the sack. Cement sack are not waste anymore. You can get your sack and promote farming through those things. You can get your seedlings from Lagos State Agricultural Development Authority, this is an agency under Lagos State Ministry of Agric and food system .

” If you go to the market to buy seeds, they are not viable seeds. You can get reputable and viable seeds from us. Bulk of the seeds in the market are not for planting, they are produce for us to eat. We have seeds that are for planting .

“The seeds are not free but you can get it at a very low price. As small as 200 to 500 naira”. She said .

The coordinator National Youth Council of Nigeria Imota local branch who stood in for two of his friends who were unavoidably absent at the program said government should subsidize Education in public school because the economic situation is hard for parents.

“The 3000 admission fees is difficult for some family, hence it should be scrapped”.
