In its continued effort to promote enterprise through the more than event Fashion Weekend, Guaranty Trust Holding Company welcomes you to its 7th GTCO Fashion Weekend which aims to embrace diversity, creativity and the brilliance that African culture represents.

Newsconnect reports that the organisers of the 7th edition of GTCO Fashion Weekend told journalists at a press conference in Lagos that it’s a deliberate and collective effort to uplift, empower, and celebrate the incredible talent our continent has to offer.

Seeing how much the GTCO Fashion Weekend has grown, and how deeply it resonates with so many makes us incredibly proud, they said.

The CEO of Guaranty Trust BankSegun Agbaje, in his welcome remark on the 7th edition of the Fashion Weekend said;

“The Fashion Weekend provides a platform that supports small businesses, the community and bring Africa’s vast creativity to the forefront.

“It’s about telling stories of heritage, culture, and personal identity, through the universal language of fashion. But beyond self-expression, fashion has become a powerful engine for economic empowerment and we are deeply committed to being part of that journey.

“As we celebrate this edition, let us also reflect on the broader impact of African fashion to the world; it is a growing global phenomenon embraced by international designers and celebrities.

“African designs are appearing in luxury boutiques in Paris, Milan, and New York, and our fabrics, patterns and aesthetics are influencing fashion houses worldwide.

“We understand the importance of supporting this growth. Our commitment to African fashion goes beyond today’s event, and we remain dedicated to promoting creativity, empowering entrepreneurs, and ensuring that the world continues to recognize the incredible potential of African fashion.

“So whether you are attending a masterclass, shopping the latest collections, or watching the runway come live, this weekend is about embracing the diversity, creativity and the brilliance that African fashion represents, I encourage you to fully enjoy and engage with all that this 7th edition of GTCO Fashion Weekend has to offer”. He said.
