Widows and participants at Honourable Adewale’s constituency office in Ifako-Ijaiye

The widows in Ifako Ijaiye went home happy in fullness of joy as honourable Adewale Temitope Adedeji (ATA), the two term lawmaker and the incumbent Majority leader in the house of Assembly from Ifako-Ijaiye for the 4th term reminded widows they are not forgotten with his intervention.

Newsconnect reports that the beneficiaries of Today’s 4th Widows Empowerment Programme were drawn across the wards in Ifako Ijaiye local government and this include CDC, LASCOTA, Political parties, Religious organisations among others.

Each of the 500 beneficiaries went home with cash and food items which include rice, garri, semovita, salt, sugar, groundnut oil packaged in sizeable but movable traveling bags.

Mrs Abigael Oni, a widow who spoke to Newsconnect after she’d received her cash gift and food items said:

“Honourable Temitope’s interventions to the Widows have become habitual, i am here to thank him immensely. He is doing wonderfully well in the lives of we widows. He takes good care of us, God in his infinite mercy will spare his life for us. My children are benefitting from his GCE and JAMB forms. There has never been a time i don’t get things from him. For what he is doing, i pray God will take him to the highest height in his career path. The greater place we want for him, God will grant him. He will not lose any family member, God will preserve him, grant his mother long live, we will not lose him to untimely deaths”.

The Iyaloja general of Ifako Local Government Adedoyin Coker Ogunbiyi in an interview with journalists at the event held that palliatives to 500 widows at this time is a big thing.

“Our Son Tope Adedeji is doing fantastically well. This is not the first time, second time, third time, he is doing it for the fourth time. God deliberately handpicked him for us. He has been consistently taking care of us, he doesn’t joke with us, he will dance with us, dine with us.

“I assure you that all the widows here will get palliatives. Widows cant say they have challenges. Tope took them like his mother. He empathized with their plights.

” May God continue to bless and support him. May God continue to strengthen him. I pray evil shall not befall him. May we not weep over him.

Deacon Banjo Omole JP, reiterated the stance of beneficiaries and bulk of people at the event. He said it has been a custom of the honourable to give out palliatives. He said everybody was carried along. The CDC, the LACOSTA.

“Even now we are having 1,750 JAMB forms. When the students came, over 10,000 students were here. That has brought joy and that is what he does for his constituent. We won the election for Asiwaju, we were not lart of the local government that lost election for Asiwaju. This electoral victory can be attributed to bulk of the interventions our elected honourables and politicians in Ifako Ijaiye are doing across board. This is a continuum, he likes to bring people together withing the party and the community”. He said.

Mrs Ayinde Olubunmi Victoria a widow from Iju road, among others went home with big grin on their faces, smiling ear to ear, and showering encomiums to Honourable ATA.

Legislative functions predicated why honourable ATA the majority leader of Lagos State House of Assembly was physically absent at today’s intervention.
